HELLO WORLD

Hey everyone! I'm Chloe 周鹤潼. If you're wondering about me and this website, let me give you a quick tour! My Chinese name has the character 鹤(crane) in it, and since I was little, I've felt this magical connection to animals and nature. They're like my lifelong pals! Oh, and people call me 小鸟(birdie) too!

My dad's upbringing among Tibetan and nomadic communities rubbed off on me big time. I've always dreamed of living his childhood adventures—snacking on wild fruits, chasing bunnies, dodging wolves, and herding cattle. I've been hooked on wildlife documentaries since forever, especially because my hometown's famous for pandas and breathtaking snowy mountains, vast grasslands.

Thanks to my upbringing, travels, and loads of nature documentaries, I've become this huge nature and animal lover! That's why I'm all in—volunteering at the Chengdu Research Base of Panda Breeding, hanging out at the Information Technology for Endangered Wildlife Conservation Lab there, working at the Tangjiahe Nature Reserve/Chengdu Bird Ringing Station, and lending a paw at places like the Animals Asia Foundation Moon Bear Rescue Center, Physiology Teaching and Research Office (West China School of Basic Medical Sciences and Forensic Medicine, Sichuan University), Panda Base Veterinary Hospital, Chengdu Pet Hospital, and more.

When I'm not on duty, I'm either diving into books on panda anatomy (nerdy, I know!) or out and about birdwatching. 📚🦜 But hey, that's just me and what I love! And hey, since memories tend to blur, I created this little online space. It's like my memory album for the awe moments in life. Imagine looking back in ten years—I bet it'll be a hoot! Welcome to my cozy nest, where I'll show you the amazing goodies I bring back from my adventures and how I spread my wings out there! 🐦✨
