🐼5.20 Panda Base SE: The First Volunteer to become Official this Season

The weather is getting warmer, and the sun feels really strong outside. Many kids stop by our interpretation station’s shaded area to take a break, which is perfect because they get to hear my explanations/advocations while resting.

Today was a special day for me—I officially became an official volunteer at the base! I got my own t-shirt, vest, and Employee ID badge. During lunch break, I also went inside to see the pandas. Since the temperature was over 25°C, all the pandas were resting indoors.

Lately, I’ve been giving lots of talks to visitors of all ages, including some international guests. It has been such a fun and rewarding experience! Becoming more and more confident and professional with my terms and explanations!

My badge, registration card, and vest!

On my badge, the numbers have special meanings:

- 23 – The year I became an official volunteer.

- 15 – The season I was hired.

- 01 – I was the first volunteer of my season to become official!
